EJ20G/Robtune fuel economy?

Just wondering what others are getting with their swaps. I'm at 16-18mpg right now, in my Touring Wagon with a 4.11 5mt. Granted, that includes daily exploration of the red zone on my tach :) But I drove the piss out of my 22T/4eat too, and got a solid 18. I was expecting more out of the swap, I guess that's asking too much with a bigger turbo and meaner heads.

I was getting 23-24, mostly highway. Sedan with a jdm 4.11 tranny. First month I had it (the robtune) I got in the teens, it was my right foot that needing adjusting. ;)

I just got done a 7hr round trip. 30.3mpg on first fillup, 23.2 on the next. The latter included playing with a stage2 06 WRX and an FC RX-7 quite a bit. Considering my 22T/4EAT never saw over 24 in any situation, im really happy.

There is more on MPG in the Rob Tune thread. I got 29+ during a 60mph avg round trip; drops to 23 at 75mph.

I read around 22-24 constantly but I push it and sit around 80 on the freeway. You are going to have to light pedal it and keep her below 2800 Rpms on the freeway if you want good mpg

I measured 28mpg around town last week. Ive made some major adjustments to my driving, but I feel like that's too good to be true. That matches our Saturn 5spd coupe.

I get 23mpg mixed 70mph freeway and half city/backroads. 4.444 kills freeway mpg.

Hah, my 4.11 is way too short for freeways IMO. Never gonna do 4.44 on this car, lol. If I ever build a dedicated race car, maybe. The 4.11 matches the power band well enough.

Wasn't a choice for me. Goes well with this gutless 2.0 though. Came with the swap.

I thought about getting a swap with 4.44, but went with one attached to the 4.11 mostly because it was in awesome condition and very complete. Really glad I did, I would have been very annoyed by the 4.44 cruising above 45mph.

I say that because right now I'm at like 2100ish at 45, where it uses to be down at 1500 with the 4eat. Im very used to the car chugging along at low RPMs. It makes it feel like I need 2 extra gears.

That said considering how high it revs on the freeway fuel economy is pretty darn impressive if you can stay off the boost. So its not that bad.

It destroys my old 22T/auto fuel economy while revving higher and making nearly 100hp over stock. Can't really complain there.
