wrx knuckles and hubs

Has anyone successfully installed 02+ wrx knuckles?
I'm in the process of wide tracking. I've also gone to a 17 inch wheel and I would like to take advantage of the upgraded wheel bearing in the wrx knuckle.
I know that there my be an abs issue. But frankly I'm willing to remove the system all together.
Just Ned confirmation that it'll fit.
Rears as well.
Thanks

Based on what I have read, and my limited experimenting, WRX knuckles are dimensionally the same as early Legacy knuckles. Outside of the ABS rings/sensors, they are compatible.
Wide track is a combo of the control arms and struts (and inner tie rods, axles, and sway bar), and can be done with either knuckle.

OK so to be more specific. 06 sedan knuckles

There's no bearing upgrade with those unless you use STI parts. And then the axle splines and wheel bolt pattern and front strut mounting are different.
06 WRX parts would fit and be exactly the same except for the abs sensors, which wouldn't work. Also you would have to swap on your rear backing plates or the rear brake calipers won't fit.

Not from what I've rread 06 07 wrx had a 17 inch wheel option and there was a Bearing redesign to allow the wheel size.

Are you planning on running Brembo or Subaru 2-pot rears?

Eventually. I'm not doing rears at this point since I've got new brakes that I would like to use up for now. Fronts are already 04 wrx

Curious about this too.
I'm fine with wrx knuckles with plain wrx brakes, but will the splines match any axle?
I have a 92 legacy AT with a 4.11 diff, which is standard, but
Would I need knuckles off an AT wrx or will one with a manual
trans work just the same?

The knuckles don't care what trans is in your car.

92 AT should be 3.90s unless it has been changed with 90-91 trans.

Upgraded wheel bearing? You sure? A wrx guy on nasioc sold me the full set of wheel bearings and seals for his wrx that he got rid of. I asked him if they would fit a 1st gen legacy and he looked it up at his work or something and said it would. Then a while back I had my friend look up part numbers to cross reference them with the bearings and seals from my car and they matched. So they should be the same exact parts.
However, for some odd reason I tried doing them on my car starting with a rear knuckle and with a brand new 20 ton press I was unable to fully seat the bearing in the knuckle. Or the bearing race I should say. It went in all but maybe 1/16". Which caused the huh to be loose and wobble so I scrapped the whole damn thing and got a complete junkyard one which I think was just as bad as mine had originally been.
Anfd I just now started on the project again starting with the front driver side knuckle.

have a source for that?
Everything i've read has the 4EAT as a 4.11 final drive.
Mine is an L by the way, not turbo.
(not trying to be a jerk, i'm just ready to buy parts and don't want to waste money)

I know from swapping parts:
5mt 90-94 4.11
4eats 90-91 4.11
4eats 92-94 3.90
Turbo 5mt 3.90
Turbo 4eats 3.90
I know it's posted here some where, just can't find it right now.
The easiest way to determine what you have is to jack the car up and mark the tire at the 12 a clock, crawl under the car and turn the driveline exactly 4 turns. If the mark on the tire has made a full revolution and a little it 3.90 if its short its 4.11

Awesome, thanks.
By driveline you mean the driveshaft from transmission to rear diff right?

For future reference the final drive ratios for the first gen Legacies is in the drivetrain sticky
Here is the direct link to the thread posted in the sticky

thanks!
I'm still seeing conflicting information, but well over half of it says my car has a final drive of 3.90
I'll be twisting that driveshaft anyway. lol.

The info in my thread and what Charles posted above is correct. Any of the other info you're reading is incorrect.
Your 92 AT has a 3.90 final drive ratio.

Or you can look for the shiny silver sticker on the rear diff plate

Most of the time the shiny silver sticker is gone, but sometimes you get lucky.
