Dastek Unichip

I am playing with th idea of installing a Dastek Unichip and having it tuned on a dyno. None of the dealers in my area have a 4WD dyno. If I were to just drop the driveline to my rear diff and run the car on their dyno as 2WD, would that work?

Does anyone have any opinions about the Dastek Unichip? Does anyone know of anyone who is running one on a Legacy Turbo? Does anyone know of a hot deal on a used one?

I would test before chip after chip so you have a comparison.

No you can't just drop the drive line. The centre diff would still be
trying to drive the rear wheels, therefore reducing the drive ratio
to your front wheels. You would need to lock the centre diff to get a
decent reading.

Some models of legacy's have a diff lock option, you could jack the
rear wheels off the ground put lots of blocks under the rear of the
car so the car doesn't try to launch it's self off the dyno.
