Blow off valve?

I have 93 legacy turbo sedan automatic USDM. I am completely stock. I want to upgrade my blow off valve. I'm not going to intercooler it. For what I'm seeing I'm going to have to make my own hoses to make it work. I'm going to be recirculating the blow off valve. I want to run the turbo xs type h34. From what I'm seeing and planning it should work now it's just a matter of doing the hoses and stuff. I just want to know peoples input on it.

Sounds like you've got the right idea. Keeping a recirculating setup is what you need for the car to run its best. And yes, you'll need some custom hoses and couplers. But it shouldn't be that big a deal.

Should that blow off valve be good to run?

Welcome to the board. I don't know your back ground on cars or on the SS. So I will ask what is your reason for this mod? It looks like you have done some reading so that is good. For the amount of money and time you will be spending to get the BOV to work you might as well just throw an intercooler on it. You can have an 06-07 intercooler and the various pieces on for under 200 bucks.
It can be very exciting doing little mods here and there but you need to take a second and think about why you are actually doing them and what how will they actually benifit.

We'll I've thought about doing the intercooling but it seems like a pain. But worth it at the same time because you can run different turbos rather than the ihi vf11. So ya if the price is the same I might as well. And the reason because I've heard of the old blow off valves leaking and crap.

You really don't need to worry about the stock one leaking under stock boost. Even if it does a little bit, the turbo spins a little faster to compensate. Shouldn't affect things at all until you crank up the boost quite a bit.

I do beg to differ there was a situation to where my bpv was cracked and didn't hold boost for a damn. obviously I had to go ahead and replace but yes there are those certain situations

Honestly a waste of money until you upgrade to a TMIC and a bigger turbo. Just leave it alone unless you plan on doing those things. It really will be pointless.

a TMIC with y-pipe will be around $50 to $100 bucks and a TD04 you can find them for less than $150. Two mods that will net you some good power gains.
