I live like one mile downhill drive from my school. I take many short trips a day consisting of school and store which is like 4 miles away. Will this be bad for the ej20g I want to install?

Short trips like that are hard on any engine. Moisture is going to build up in the oil so it will need to be changed more often. If you don't there will be more acid in the oil which will not be good for the engine. Moisture is also going to collect in the exhaust which may rust it out prematurely.

I can't think of any reason why it would be worse for an EJ20G than any other factory turbo motor.

As Jefferson pointed out, short trips take a little more of a toll on any engine. I'm in a similar boat now with my new job being very close to home. Try and take the care for a good drive every now and then to evaporate some of the residual moisture. Also, changing the oil regularly would be important. You could get an oil analysis done to see if your change interval is ok.

Thanks ya'll. I'll just use good oil and change a little more often. I take plenty of long drives here in there but my daily routine has many short drives is all. Probably the exact conditions the JDM motors went through in Japan anyway.
