RobTune - no spark on 3/4 cyl

Alright so check this out.

Picked up a SS that had been sitting for two years. They put 550cc injectors, td05, and RobTune in. They couldn't get spark, and so the car sat until he sold it to me. I got it home, and figured out the ignition converter had 1 wrong wire. The 12+ was grounded instead of powered. So then I switched it and got it to spark, but only on 1 & 2. I triple checked the wiring, and even re-timed the timing belt twice to make sure timing hadn't jumped for any reason. I pull the robtune out and put the wires back to stock and it sparks on all 4. Well then I pull the Injectors to put the stocks back in and find NO O RINGS in the manifold for the injectors lol. So it was a bit of a mess but i'm working on it..

My question is, anyone have a problem with their ignition converter not sparking 3 & 4? What else could have cause 3 & 4 not to work? I emailed Rob, but wanted to post here also.

When cranking and trying to fire, it seemed that the firing order may have been wrong as well, it was popping out of the intake manifold and a little smoke, which make me think to re-time the car but am also thinking firing order..

Any help appreciated.

Already looked through that. That's why I re-timed the car twice. It fires all 4 after I took the Robtune out and sounds like it's in-time.

Rob's converter is removed when you remove the ECU, too? Or just the ECU? I bought an Ig converter off CL and it was bad. If they hooked it up wrong it could've gotten fried.

The Ig converter supposedly works w/either the stock or EJ20G ECU - robtuned or not.

I took out the RobTune and the converter at the same time. I hooked the ignitor wires back to stock and it sparked on 4. I didn't know I could leave it plugged into the stock ECU as well.. Hmm maybe I'll hook it back up and try it?

I'm thinking the converter is bad. I'm gonna send the ECU and converter back to Rob once I hear back from him via email.
