ej20g(k) rebuild vs. v6 ej207

so im pretty sure my recently swapped late ej20g spun a bearing. At this point, I just want my car running again, and I'm prepared to spend what I need to get it going.
my question here, with the 20k being higher compression and higher revving, is it worth spending the money to have it rebuilt and continue with what I've got? My other thought is to just say screw this whole setup, sell it all for whatever I can, and start over fresh with a new motor, and most likely be a version 6 STi motor.
I know that either way im going to end up spending a whole lot more money, I'm just flustered, stressed, angry, and cant make any decisions, so looking for good helpful input.

Ej207 is going to be a massive project. Full on wire harness build/merge. Its obd2 and will need the complete engine and vehicle harness. It'll take forever and cost a ton of money. You'd save yourself a lot of headache buying a gc impreza to swap that into. Its certainly doable with enough time, patience and a lot of money (for me anyways). That's the choice only you can make.

From the little research I've done so far, for the v6 I've found a motor with tranny, harness, and ecu for roughly $2650 to my doorstep. Iwire in cali can do up the full harness for $800. The only other big purchases I see besides that are t-belt/water pump and management (unless the stock ecu can be reflashed or what not).
As far as the fozze 20g, I have no clue how much or even what brand of rebuild kit to go with, nor do I have the space/knowledge to do the rebuild myself, so I'm guessing it would be at least $1500-$2000 for parts and labor to get that taken care of.
Seems like pricewise, I could go either way. So that's where my complete indecisiveness is killing me.

ej207 for sure, see how much more it would be to go ver7 with the stock forged internals.

The reflashable ecu is the biggest plus to the ej207. But... you already have the PFC for your car.
