Whats up everybody....So I need some help with my vacuum lines on my 94 Leg SS with a swapped TD04 turbo, and top mount innercooler. I have been searching around on the internet to find a good solid easy to read vacuum tubing lay out, and I tried scoping out some engine bay pictures, but I just cant get a good look on how the lines are suppose to be ran.

As of right now looking under my hood I know that the lines are not correctly installed.

If anyone can provide a clear picture on how they ran there lines I would be so happy! Or tell me were I can find a good picture.

Cool.....only problem is I have an aftermarket intake pluming that the previous owner hooked up and it seems that theres no intake reservoir. I cant find a aux purge valve either. Ill have to find a way to get a picture of my engine bay on here.

Use photo bucket or similar. I've referenced those two graphics so many times I have em saved to my phone lol.

The aux purge valve should be on the passenger side between the head and frame rail. Its possible the PO removed it. Most Subaru's through 1996/7 had them so you could grab one off an na if necessary.

Hey, just wondering how everybody has there PCV hoses hooked up? As of right now the guy I bought it from has the hoses running from the IAC valve directly to the PCV valve.... Shouldn't the hoses be ran to the intake reservoir?? I am pretty sure this is the cause of all my problems, with idle, and throttle response.

Let me know what you guys think, and if anyone has some engine bay pictures I would love to check em out.

Yes, you are right. It the IACV tube should be connected to the intake tract somewhere between the MAF and Turbo Inlet.

Should I just T off the IACV and PCV into one hose to the intake?

No you want the iacv hose to be on its own line to the intake.

Ok sounds good.....as fair as the PCV hose, should that also be ran to the intake by itself?

Pcv goes to f pipe which goes to vent on top of block and to intake. Iacv goes to the black box right before the turbo inlet.

Thanks man! Since my intake is custom Im gonna have to drill some holes, and fab something up. I never got the stock intake with the car. I might try and buy a stock intake. It seems to me that the stock intake is better then a (hot air) intake.

This is what Im thinking about doing w/ the custom intake to make things run right. Correct me if Im wrong. The green lines represent my PCV hoses. Im going to drill two more holes on the custom steel tubing before the turbo to try and get my vac lines right. As of right not my boost control solenoid is bypassed. Thanks

I want to try and do this so the computer will get the right reading, cause as of right now the car is running way to lean, and if I dont get this figured out it might die on me.

You definitely need to try and route both the PCV and vacuum/boost lines like they should be in their stock configuration.

I will take all the help I can get!!! By the way this is how I bought the car.....Im just trying to get it back as close as I can to stock.

I'm a little confused on your "A" hose. You are showing it coming out of the purge control solenoid. Were you meaning for that to be the IAC valve? If so, if it were me I would prefer to have the IAC hose getting fresh air. In your diagram it's getting primarily crankcase blow by, and if that's all it's getting at idle may not make for good engine idling/combustion.

Additionally, the bypass valve needs to have a separate hose to the intake resonator or main intake piping. The PCV hoses, IAC, & bypass hoses all combine to the main intake piping and really need to have separate hoses to the main intake piping. You really shouldn't combine systems because they ultimately end up in the same spot.

I thought the purge control was the IAC.....sorry. Thanks for your help!

So I re-did my diagram...hope this make a little more sense. As fair as the "A" hose from the PCV, I have to find a way to rout it because on the stock legacys there's an "F-Pipe" that ties into split the hoses.

The PCV & valve cover breather hoses perform a different task and really should be separated. This scan has a little more info.

Also, you don't have it identified on the diagram, but what are you doing with the main crank case vent right below the IAC valve?

I noticed other guys have been T-ing the main crank case vent to the PCV hose and then running it to the intake before the turbo. Also after reviewing your link it appears to be the right thing to do.
