Added a loaded 95 LS sedan awd to the herd recently. 121k, newer red paint, glass sunroof (oem), keyless entry...very nice car except rear struts need to be replaced. All I know for certain is 95-99 legacy will work. Will impreza (awd) struts work also 93-01? thanks

The impreza struts will work, but you'll have to use your original rear top mounts. It will sit slightly lower in the rear than with legacy struts by roughly half an inch. You can also use 02-07 impreza/wrx struts and springs front and rear and 04 sti front/04-07 sti rear.

95-99 legacy uses the exact same rear bolt pattern as 02-07 impreza, trust me I've owned more second gen's than first.

I had the 02-03 WRX struts on my 96 Legacy. As bratman said, plug and play. They weren't the sportiest suspension, but certainly an upgrade from stock. However, I would be suspicious of 11-12 year old struts being any good at this stage. Since I paid $100 for all four complete struts (a few years back), I wasn't too picky.

Last thing, the rear end was noticeably lower than the front with that suspension.
