I want to replace both the rh and lh fenders on my 93 SS.

Has anyone ordered/used one of the less expensive fenders available on ebay such as this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Fender-Driv ... 16&vxp=mtr

If so were there any fitment issues? Or is OEM the only way to go. OEM fenders are twice as much.

I paid about $110 each on EBay for some aftermarket 2003 Legacy fenders for a front end I was repairing. They fit just fine, no issues at all. Everything lined up properly.

I believe that all the US stock for oem fenders are all gone. When I bought mine six years ago, I bought the last left and they still had seven rights. The aftermarket equivalent fits good the price is not bad.

That's great news. I'll have to pull the trigger on a set and update when I install them.

The rh fender has rotted off at the bottom and the lh is beginning to bubble, and both fenders have some pretty nast dents.

I've combed the junkyards for a set of fenders but pretty much every one has some rust and the amount of work it would take to fix it is nothing compared to the $200 or so that the fenders cost.

I plan on painting the SS in the spring. I painted my '95 BK wagon a couple years ago and it turned out amazing. There is a community education auto body class that I took and I had access to a lift, downdraft spray booth that also heats up and cures the paint. I'll do a two stage paint job. Should look pretty sharp.
