Cranks, Fuel, Spark. No Start, No Codes

Hi, was hoping to make it to my first oil change without breaking down, FML :!:

S0, 92 SS with RobTune. 4 to 2 Converter. No CEL's

- New Battery : 12.6V
- Air, Fuel, Fire - Check
- New Coolant Temp Sensor
- Checked all fuses
- Checked all Grounds last time i broke down 5000 Km's ago
- Pulled a Cam pulley cover off, TB had tension.

I found mouse poop on top of my battery, so that kinna scares me

It Hasn't been sitting, been driving it almost everyday, maybe would sit for 3 days max outside. ( as I made it sound with the Mouse Poop Story )

Secondly, I arrived home it the other night and as i was pulling into the driveway it made a Knocking / Clunking Noise. Next Morning it fired right up, ran for 5 minutes. Came back outside and i heard a squealing noise, thought thats funny. Popped the hood and all of a sudden i heard a Clunk and DIED :!:
Was thinking i should buy a Timing Gun and double check timing :?: Just Replaced the TB, Rollers and Tensioner. Pretty sure I have a brand new Crank sensor in there, but can't remember.

Not sure where to start :?: I changed the Coolant Temp Sensor because after reading numerous " Cranks, Fuel,Sparks, No Start" Type threads, it seems that was a Viable problem.

Any tips would be much appreciated, Thanks :smt100

Just think stupid, don't start throwing parts at it. Sounds like it has been sitting. I doubt it is something crazy.

Sorry to hear your having problems :!: mouse poo, that's at least a 5hp loss. I would be on the look out for a shady mouse pooping in peoples engine bays.

Did you check spark on ALL 4? Make sure the MAF is plugged in.
RobTune is known for cold start problems, was it cold out?

Sorry, I was frustrated and left out some pertinent information :? ( i'll add that into the top )

As far as the mouse goes, I've already started a Militant Anti-Mouse Movement. Strapped with Cheese and Rocket Launchers and we will Defeat these Evil Wire Chewing Beasts :smt093

It honestly sounds like the timing belt or something associated with the pullies/gears for the timing belt. It's either something with that or something internal to the engine.

I would pull the timing covers off and inspect the timing belt alignment with the marks to make sure everything is still timed properly and the idler pullies & gear are good. Also check the water pump.

Right as usual Josh :smt058

Checked with a light, the plastic cover indicated 10 degrees advanced. Tore it apart , skipped 3 teeth :!:

No idea how, new everything . All appears fine except I found the rubber seal from the timing cover wrapped around the belt and an idler . So some small soft piece of rubber would throw the belt like that :!: :?:

So do I replace the belt , tensioner and tensioner pulley ?

It probably came off and got susucked into the gears by the belt and caused a slippage. I was going to suggest the belt has slipped but Josh beat me to it. Remove the belt and inspect it for worn teeth or cracks when it's bent. If it looks fine reuse it. If it slips again replace it and the tensioner. Also I don't think a timing light is necessary on this car. It's not adjustable and removing the side timing covers to check that all the pulleys are lined up is all that's needed.

Glad it was just the belt.
