Hello I have a 1992 legacy L wagon 2.2l all wheel drive 5 speed. I have replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, ignition coil, and the iacv. I have removed the stock air box and installed a aftermarket cone filter. I used the maf plate. Im trying to pin point my idle issue. It sounds like I have a miss some where. I cant find it. Also when I am traveling slowly and i let off the gas and press it again. Like driving through a parking lot or in traffic. The car jerks really badly. I dont see any bad engine mounts or transmission mounts. I was thinking the tps is mis adjusted or faulty. I have tried to pull codes but my check engine light is not working. If any one has any info on this it would be helpful. This is the first car that has had auto set timing and idle.

You can test your TPS using the scans below. The third scan gives a procedure for adjusting the TPS; that is the ONLY adjustment you should make on the TPS.

So does the CEL not come on and stay lit when the key is in the ON position, but engine is not running? If that is the case, the bulb may be burned out or the wiring from the ECU may be disconnected. If you have a test light, you can connect the clamp end of the test light to a 12v constant or ignition source (accessory source won't work) and then can put the probe end on the CEL pin on the ECU. The test light should light up when the key is in the ON position and engine not running and should blink when you have the diagnostic connectors connected.

Also, after running a cone filter for several years I ended up going back to the stock air box. While the cone filter helped a little bit on the top end, it killed low end torque and it can cause issues with the MAF sensor, which also could be a cause of you're issues. I'd try to pull the codes as a start, then TPS, and then try putting the stock air box back on and cleaning the MAF with MAF cleaner.

Josh, this might be my problem as well.
I just checked the Ohms from picture #1, and fully closed is 9.70 K-Ohms; should the TPS be adjusted?

Edit: so this isn't my problem becuase I checked everything and it's to spec. I was measuring ohms from pins 2 and 3, not 1 and 2.

The third scan is really the only adjustment that should be made with the TPS. As long as the resistance is WAY off for the other readings, it'll be alright.
