Outback exhaust on my 93 L

Post by speezly »

I have never liked the dual tip stock exhaust, plus I have been running a gutted cat on my old system, so I finally put something different on it. Image
The complete system was a little longer than the first gen setup, so I had to spend a couple bucks at a muffler shop, but a little cutting and welding and she's good to go.

Any difference in how it runs or sounds?

It sounds really nice. Very quiet when cruising, with a nice rumble when I get on it a bit. I just recently got a check engine light, but that could be anything. It feels fine, but I am wondering if the O2 sensor for my stock cat is getting proper readings or if I should switch to the proper O2 sensor for the outback cat.

Your stock O2 sensor is fine to use with the outback cat.

Pull the codes and see what comes up.
