22T Case Bolt - Superseded washers!

I am building a 22T/205 hybrid. Wiseco pistons, STi rods, new OEM bearings, 22T crank.

One of the water jacket bolts got a little stripped, and I cut a groove in the other to make it into a thread cleaner. I lost the two corresponding washers for them. I ordered two new water jacket bolts and two washers using the 22T part numbers from the OEM parts catalog.

The new case bolts look identical, but the washers are 2 mm thick and do not have the rubber inserts like the 3 mm washers from the original bolts.

Take a look:Image

So I don't know what I should do at this point. I have a few options. Install the two washers and forget about it; Order new superceded washers for all the bolts; or somehow find some original washers. Third option is the worst.

Any thoughts?

You must run the washers with the rubber seals or coolant will leak.

What part # did you order? The correct old part # for the washers with the rubber seals is 11034AA000. The new superseded part # is 11034AA010. So I would give the new part # a try.

I didn't realize that there were two types of washers. Six dowty washers for the coolant jacket bolts and four regular washers for the other case bolts. Image

The old washers were in bad shape so I'm glad I learned that they needed to be replaced. Image

Thanks Josh!
