Drivetrain issues?

So I have a 92 Legacy L, and I've been having an issue with it since I bought it. When I turn the wheel to the left, it shudders and jumps like something is getting locked up, especially when it's in reverse. It wasn't that bad when I bought it, but it's been getting worse and worse. I've tried replacing the diff (cause it ended up grinding the gears in it), and the problem still persisted. I replaced both rear axles, one rear wheel bearing, and getting ready to do the other, and the steering rack. Everyone that looks at it tells me it's the diff, but I just replaced it 2 months ago. I did get a used one though. Do you guys think this is the problem, or do you have any other ideas?

I'm gonna go rev my car now...

Is it auto trans? And which diff did you change?

When I put it up in the air and put it in gear, only the right wheel turns, unless I hold it still, then the left will turn instead.

The rear diff is an open diff and is should act that way. There is a center diff toward the rear of the transmission that causes exactly what your describing. One way to test it is: under the hood on the passenger side firewall there is a fuse holder that says (FWD), place a fuse in it and see if it's not binding. What that does it activates the duty C solenoid and disengage the 4wd, so now no power is going to the rear.

I'm almost positive it's the center diff and can be repaired in the car. There are some threads on that on here.
