Me and my buddy were taking out my flywheel bolts and we heard something drop into the oil pan. Pulled the pan off and found this 10mm bolt and don't know where it came from. Does anyone know?

You need to fix your image links so we can see them.

A bolt should not just drop into the oil pan tho, something is wrong there.

Links are no good. You must upload them into an image hosting website first, then link. Like photobucket.com or imgur.com

And the bolt was 10mm or the socket used to take it off was 10mm? I assume it was the latter, and it has a phillips head on it too? It was probably a windage tray bolt. Still, not good it came out on its own.

By the way. This happened kind of late so i havent been home to pull the valve covers yet even though i know nothing can make it from there to the pan. Its just a stock ej22t. I showed the pics to someone who claimed to have built alot of 22t and he said hes never seen it before. Thanks for the help guys.

That's all bad buddy. Those are oil squirters that spray the inside of the Pistons with oil to keep them cool. You have to pull your pistons and see which one came out.

Cj works better. I hope you get it all dialed in.

You will have to pull the heads and pistons to solve the problem. Might as well freshen it up as much as possible. I'd at least suggest new rings at this point unless you want to do a full rebuild.

The oil squirters are known to unscrew. I couldn't tell you what sets certain engines apart from others, mileage, abuse, etc.?
