Did you miss me or not even notice I was gone....haha

I've been a bit MIA for the past couple months due to the copious amounts of travel and the house stuff going on. From May to August I flew about 39,000 miles in 13 weeks. There was 17 weeks between the beginning of May & the end of August. Between the end of May and end of August I was only in town for an entire week 3 times and was gone every week in August.

Almost all of the travel was work related, but I was able to take a week's vacation and made hop across the pond to visit London. That was fun! It would have been nice to stay longer, but wasn't able to do that this time around. Probably the thing that got me the most was the fact that some of the buildings and architecture over there is SOO old. I walked around Westminster Abby and saw a tile from the 1,300's. I need to go through my pictures and can throw them up when I get time (hopefully this weekend).

I've had two straight weeks in town now....I don't know what to do with myself...haha But hitting the road again next week. I'll do my best to not be MIA again. However, you can always get me by email.

I didn't notice until you got back and started message bombing the forum. It was nice to see the familiar red back on the board.

+1 on hoping you have a miles card or something. with that many miles you probably fly back to London for free next time.

Yeah, it's a lot of air time, and I do get to keep my miles. I'm on track to fly over 100,000 miles this year. I'm headed to Johio today, back to Houston on Tuesday, and then Iowa on Thursday, back to Houston Sunday, and a quick trip up to Seattle next Wednesday through Sunday to meet my new nephew.

I get upgraded occasionally due to my frequent flyer status so it's a mix of coach and first class. First class is overrated any more. The only real benefit is a little more room and food. I did fly business class to London thanks to miles. International business class is typically pretty good, the food was so-so on those flights, but since they had lay flat beds it was actually the first time I've had any substantial sleep on a plane. I can't normally sleep on a plane to save my life.

I've flown once and I did not like the feeling in my stomach on take off.

I normally don't have any issues flying.

I'd be curious to see how many miles I've flown over the years. I've spent extensive time in SE and SW asia, some time in the middle east, parts of europe, etc.

My lifetime miles on United since about 2000 are around 600,000 miles
