Replace or fix door on 94 legacy sedan

I picked up a 94 legacy sedan FWD not too long ago. There is a big dent in the door and the door handle is hanging off. Don't really mind the dent but what drives me crazy is the loud screech it makes when I open the door. The door is not pinching the fender and the gap between the door and the fender is the same as the other side. My question is what would be the easiest and best way to fix the sound, should I fix the door or replace it? I will try and post pictures as soon as I can.

The sound may be coming from the door "checker" that is supposed to hold the door open. You may want to try putting some grease on that to see if it makes any noise. If door isn't rubbing anywhere else it's likely that checker or something inside the door.

Is the door checker where the little black rod is? what type of grease do you suggest I use?

I'm not sure which black rod you're referring to.

Lithium grease is fine.

That's where my door was squeeking/groaning from. I used some heavier grease on that slider, plus squirted some WD-40 type spray into the hinges and the sound went away.
