Stalling with white smoke

Hey everybody, I'll try and describe this to the best of my ability.
So I bought an ss from one of the members on here not to long ago. It's got the original 440 robtuned Ecu on it with a td05. Basically whats happening is while I'm driving and I go to hit boost, it'll climb all the way up to 13psi and then stall out and emit this white smoke out the exhaust. It sounds hideous. While this is happening the cel knock light is going crazy. When I originally purchased the car it ran awesome! But now I'm left scratching my head.
It idles fine, and there's no leaks to my knowledge. I plugged in the black connectors and got codes for the knock sensor and iacv. But I think those might be stored codes. Tried running d check mode while on the freeway and the cel stayed steady, and would occasionally blimp 1 or 2 times. The only mods that I have done to it was put new ngk wires and copper ngk plugs. And also a gfb manual boost controller.
If I left the stock boost control solenoid plumped into the intake/turbo this same problem would occur. Hence why I got the mbc.
Anybody have some thoughts? Thanks
