JC Sports Turbo Intake

Yeah, i've bashed it before, but since i'm a little lazy and don't
want to make the kit myself, i thought i'd give the guys at JC a call
and see what they were doing about it.

Seems they're looking into a nicer setup, but are running into
problems with getting a cast replacement. That project is on hold.

They do still make the MAF adapter and will put together a PVC
replacement for that intermediate box before the turbo.

Kevin freely admitted that it was a bit hokey and that he'd taken a
lot of stabs about the looks, but said it worked very well.

With a filtercharger kit and shipping, just over $100. Not bad.

Expect a review of sorts sometime soon.

I talked to Kevin again today and he's having his welder make an
aluminum pipe instead of just using the cheapo plastic plumbing
parts. He was eager for me to take a look at it and give my honest
impression.

This bodes well for us with Legacy Turbos. JC supports a lot in
Colorado, but it'd be nice to have a place that actually has in-house
parts for our cars.

He's also sending a replacement aluminum overflow tank, you know,
that one by the brake cylinder whose fittings seem to snap on a
whim? I'm dying to try it out!
