Yeah...#4 is the last one to get fuel I believe, so can run hot and burn a valve, too. Compression and Leakdown if you can.

Yeah I was afraid of that, I'll go pull the spark plug and see how it looks. Brand new ngk platinum plugs installed 4 or 5 days ago along with new coil/plug wires so if it's the valve that's burnt up than I should see some evidence of it on the plug i believe

So with the side feed and top feed injectors is there a difference in how they seat in the manifold or is it just the fuel rail thats completely different?

I'm sure the manifold mount is different... search online for pics. And getting those fuel lines to fit may be painful. And it's easier to replace the injectors IN THE rails - than the injectors individually, if go looking for another used set.

Yeah might just end up buying a injector rebuild kit depending on how the compression test goes

Just to confirm....you smell raw unburnt fuel correct? Are you able to pinpoint where the smell is coming from?

Did you pull the spark plugs, and what did they look like?

Yeah, it's not always super apparent but on a warmer day it is definitely noticeable. I've tried tracing all the fuel lines all the way to the tank but havent dropped the tank yet to see if the top is rusted out or something. The filler neck was replaced two or 3 years ago so I doubt it is that. Evap lines are all good, replaced the vent valve and purge selonoid a few month's ago. I dunno.

I didnt make it to the shop today hopefully tomorrow to run compression but i did stop and order a new injector, o-ring/injector reseal kit so it'll all be here by friday. Hopefully everything works out i like this wagon, wish it was a forced induction engine but in still happy with what it is.

So it's mainly just a fuel odor, it's not like you have liquid fuel anywhere? What is your fuel mileage like?

Have you tried a vacuum/pressure pump to put a little pressure on the fuel tank through the evap hose to see if it holds pressure?
