'94 Legacy Turbo Wagon -EJ22T.
Replacing that idler pulley on the alternator. Which means the belt adjuster bracket has to come off the block. Those iron bolts have been in that alloy block for 24 years. That’s scary, should I warm the engine a little bit or fully first? The alternator & belt were replaced in Sep-2020. Any hint’s from those that have been there - done that?

What idler pulley are you talking about? The only idler is the one on the A/C tensioner.

Hah!, made me look, ya did. Yup, there's tensioners on both the alt. & the a.c. The idler is on the a.c. I haven't even reviewed my Hayne's manual yet TBH.

The alt pivots. It is the tensioner for the alt/ps belt

What's the problem you're trying to solve here?
