WTB: 1990 LEGACY 2WD AUTOMATIC DIFF/TRANS OR DIFF

Old Blue, my March 1990 production, 2WD 4EAT Legacy needs a diff or at least I think it does. It makes this horrendous noise from a stop all the way up but not at idle when i rev it up so I don't think it's the trans. There doesn't appear to be any used or rebuilt. Parts are not available. It's probably only bearings but I don't want my friend to get into it and find it needs a ring and pinion or carrier or something that nobody has and I end up up with a trunk full of bad parts. If you have one within 300 miles or so of Zip 08054 I will come get it. Charlie

You might be better off looking on the first-gen Legacy Facebook groups, or checking out wrecking yards. This forum moves very slowly nowadays, and very few of us have automatic 2WD examples.
