Its confirmed...
I blew my transmission last weekend. Looks like its time to learn how to
rebuild a transmission!
As I do it, I will take photos with my companies digital camera and post on
to the net. Any help before I get started would be appreciated!

My Manual sucks. Any help would be appreciated. I just secured a second
Turbo tranny as well, for $300 CDN.
If you have pics in your manual + text, I would love to get it. My manual
says " Manual Transmission: Any worn parts should be replaced." Thats it!
Lots of info on clutchs etc but nada on Transmission.

Yes it has exploded views of about 4 or 5 gearbox types the only part
it doesn't cover is the selector forks.

What brand of filter and transmission fluid should I buy? I was
thinking about using synthetic transmission fluid. Are all
transmission filters the same?

What year legacy do you have. The 90 had an add on filter for it, not
sure if they still used it 91 or not. I believe these tranny's just
have a strainer type thing, I could be wrong, but on mine I think it's
just a strainer and the add on filter kit.

Here is the subaru part #'s if anyone is interested

Trans Filter Kit # 21099AA091
Trans Pan Gasket # 21397AA040
