I thought it would be cool if we started a little post on our VIN numbers. Our cars are so rare it would be cool to see who has the #1 car made that year.

I'll start.
I have a 94 turbo touring wagon
last 5 digits to the VIN are.....00011

Out of aproximately 200+ that year, I'd say I'm pretty lucky!

Name Year VIN
Tahiti351 1990 09660
Legacy777 1990 23820
Tahiti350 1990 35632
Bdub 1991 00245
N1446 1991 00710
Tahiti352 1991 03304
kleinkid 1991 09191
JoeWM 1992 03791
Dynamic Entry 1992 06111
Morgie 1992 07316
Tahiti353 1992 11673
Ericem 1993 90234
Magicmike 1994 00011
BSOD2600 1994 00091
Magicmike 1994 00123
Ericem 1994 00375
DerFahrer ? 01276
Eastbaysubaru ? 04190
Ciper ? 39666

IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO DUMP AN EXCEL LIST IN HERE AND HAVE THE COLUMNS LINE UP I'D APPRECIATE A PM. I TRIED "CODE" AND "LIST" TO NO AVAIL.

The serial numbers, I believe, are shared between turbos and non-turbos, so the fact that turbo is rare doesn't mean we're likely to find 00001, since that would be the first Legacy that year.

Mike, you're just really lucky. :)

Hum.....I did a search on autotrader.com and looking by vin number only, I saw 2 or 3 turbos that were under the number 200. But I suppose your right. And I do feel lucky :D

I think your 100% correct. How many Legacy's were made in total in north america on average anyway? I am thinking over 100,000?

Do N/A build cars and Japanese built cars overlap on sequential numbers? I believe almost all turboes were built in Japan. If the 'low' numbers were allocated to the Japan plant and "high" numbers were allocated to the SIA plant, that would explain why turbos generally have lower numbers.

mine sucks, 6111 on a 92 SS

Mike, how have you/we found out how many of each model were made in a given year (you site 200 TW in your year)

I think it would be interesting to find out who has the last/closet to last Legacy

who has the highest from a 94?

Cool.

I think you should re-post them sorted by year, then by VIN. Would make it easier to see where everyone stands.
