leaky rear diff

Is this a common problem on older legacy's? Is there anything I can
do besides keeping the fluid level up?

Most of them that look leaky just have fluid on them from checking
the level.

Otherwise, you can drain it and replace the seal, or just make sure
it has enough fluid all the time.
