boost control solenoid...

i was reading the hallman boost controller installation instructions
for a single turbo car and it says that:
"most of the late model turbo cars have a boost control solenoid
that the ECU can control to raise or lower boost depending on if it
sees knock or not. If you encounter this i would recommend removing
the lines that go to and from it...."
now while i was out playing around under my hood i traced a couple
lines from my turbo and they ran to what seemed like the said
solenoid. my question is, has anyone removed the lines from theirs?
what do yo do with the lines once removed? reconnect them together?
(would that be the spot to hook up the controller, in place of where
the solenoid was) is this really that beneficial? it says that
doing this will result in "rock steady boost with this particular
controller".
