Billy's Wild Ride

My son Joel (98 RS with huge Garrett turbo. JC Sports intercooler, STi suspension) works in race car games at Microsoft. Subaru/Prodrive is courting Microsoft for sponsorship. When Microsoft learned that Joel already had plans to go to Wild West with me, they said "Hell, just bring your dad with us!"
I got the ride in the Group N car, but Joel got to ride in the open class car.
I spent hours and hours picking the brains of Subaru and Prodrive engineers.
Here are two factoids....
#1 No Subaru ever sold in the US has ever had even one ounce of downforce in its rear wing. My rear wing performs a valuable purpose. It keeps rain from running into the trunk (boot) through the holes that were drilled to mount the rear wing. Even the giant STi wing on the open class USA rally car is just a tail decoration.
#2 I have heard that since the EJ22T uses smaller injectors, when an EJ20 (of any turbo variety) is installed, one must add a fuel controller to shorted the injector pulse from the stock ecu. Also it is customary to use the EJ22T coil pack, not the coil-for-each-plug system as found on many EJ22 engines.
Who had the nice white Legacy Turbo sedan at Wild West?
Bill
