hmmm... yeah i'll have to check that, but in my case what i hope is
happening is just some left over oil is burning off from before my
crank seal change as it didn't seem so bad this morning after some
pretty hard driving.

There is a cover on the back (driver side) that goes over the cam on the
head. You might want to check that bad boy too. Hard to get at, prolly best
inspected from underneath (no break cylender, etc. in the way). You might
have a leak back there too.
