Yes Rod, I am very interested.
I want to do work to the motor on my car. Probably wouldn't be for a
bit, but I want to swap in a 5 spd and convert to AWD. I have been
toying/debating over the idea of what route to go, stick with N/A high
compression engine. Or low boost turbo setup. I've ALWAYS had a love
for turbo cars. So I would be greatly appreciate any all info you can
throw my way. Did you redo any of the engine internals. I had sorta
thought/expected to do this when I did do whatever upgrades I was goin
to do. So if I do mod engine internals, can you run more boost? or is
the N/A engine design limited?
Thanks Rod,
PS: Where in AZ are you? I got a buddy that is moving out from
Maryland area out to Tucson. He stopped by last night for dinner and
crashed at my place in memphis, and took off again this morning.

I went from a NA set-up to a light pressure turbo (61/2 lbs.
boost). He put in a Garrett VB-25 dbl. roller bearing turbo (equivalent
to a T3) that spools instantly off idle. With the headers, ignition,
K&N, under drive pulley, etc. it goes like snot! If you have an NA motor
& the coin, I`d recommend this to anyone. Interested? Post me and I`ll
give you Robert`s website for more info.---ROD (AZ.)

Just a note on the PCV valve: if it ain`t broke,
don`t fix it! This comes from someone with extended Subie knowledge as a
tech & is the guy who did the fantastic job on my turbo set-up. The PCV
Subaru uses is`nt like the old ones you`d find in a rubber grommet
stuck in the valve cover. This one is in the pass. side of the throttle
body just above the IAC valve. When i asked if it should be changed, he
indicated they don`t get all oiled up like the old ones did & it was OK.
Do what you`re comfortable with, but it`s probably OK. My 2 cents
worth---ROD (AZ.)
