: intercooling size?

Ok I think you guys are on the track. 
I have a air/air intercooler
on my pickup (87 GMC Crew cab w/ cummins turbo diesel) I run a 19"X19"
intercooler. the pressure pipe(2 1/2") coming off the turbo is hot to
the touch, But the pipe(2 1/2") leaving the cooler is cold to the touch,
right up to the intake of the engine, no heat shields, thats in 85
degree heat (summer time in WA). My $.02. Dan
