What do you think of that... there is a _HOLE_ in the bottom part of metal... caused by rust from behind.

Here is what i'm talking about (can also see that the bottom of my doors starts to rust also, will have to work with that quick to prevent big damages $$$ ) :

It seems small, but i can feel that it's weak under the left-side of the hole, under the paint...

So ... easy to repair or only a temporary patch will solve the problem for 6months and then more rust will re-appear ? :\

Where exactly is that on your car... the pictures are zoomed in so far I can't orient myself. But the best way fight rust is doing it right. Depending on where it is, the paint needs to sanded away to expose how far the rust has spread. Then a thorough sand-blasting is in order, especially if there is a hole. Then coat the area with Pour-15. Also depending where it is... you might just cut out the rusted metal and weld some new sheet metal in. After that you smooth it out and start blending the paint... can't remember specifically what is done. I just go to a body shop around the corner, but then again he's been a family friend since before time and hooks me up...

hah had the same exact problem, same place. although it was only surface rust.

yeha if u wanna do it right, follow the above steps. otherwise just get some spray paint and paint away like i did!

sure its gonna keep spreading, but it took 10 mins to fix and looks 100% better. besides its not worth my time to do all those steps when the rust is this minor. i wait till i cant paint anymore because theres a hole before i bother fixing it for real

besides this is a 10+ year old subaru. just cuz its rusting doesnt mean dont keep on truckn'! ha ha

These cars All like to rust in that spot/area. If your good with metalwork then I'd say cut all that out and replace it with fresh metal. I'd use glue and rivets/screws. I know it sounds worse then welding. But It's far easier and the new generation of body workers are using it because it wont rust. Whereas with welding you melt the metal and autmatically oxidize a fair portion of it. Thats what I'm doing with my car.
