I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but what are the
fastest times in 1/4 mile that you guys have run? What kind of mods
etc??

As a matter of fact, i don't think anyone has ever asked this before.

Maybe next season i'll make some runs with the non-turbo to see what it
pulls and the turbo if it is up and running.

A 11.3, 420HP, I should be able to get mid to high 10's but don't
want to blow my gear box up again, if I do I am in for a dog box.

How do you run 420hp (got a timeslip or a dyno chart?) and not blow your tranny? It seems that anyone over 300hp blows the tranny

A simple calculation: Australian and NZ Subaru owners + Cash + Time
= Nuts.

The two fastest Subarus i know of are Rigioli flavored beasts, and
one's even a BC!

Heh, 270 to the wheels (~340 flywheel we figure) and my tranny's fucking shot... again...

I'm considering a WRX-STi box with beefier gears.

Some bad news on that BC, you guys probably havn't heard about it
over there in that states.
That gold ravioli hehee Liberty is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Engine died. It blew up apparently.

But every now and then i see a white one in Brisbane, also with some
rigoli stickers on it. It is rather impressive. Nothing i've seen has
beaten him on the street. R33 skylines etc. don't worry him
whatsoever.

IT'S A NICE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nah, that'll blow up too. Seen it happen. Even if you have the Prodrive
Flame hardened gearsets. It'll last longer, but i'll still go.

I heard that hollinger gear sets are quite strong and pretty cheap, If I
had the money, I would probably go MRT...

Yep Oz I think has the fastest BC legacy (liberty)in the world. With 454 HP
at all four wheels it manages a 10.72 @ 134.77mph. Unless someone can tell

1:) because the 2.2 would have more torque, and therefore all the more
easier to break stuff.

2:) because they get the 2.0L in almost everything over there. Why start
with a new engine if the one you have has so much for in aftermarket terms
already?

We don't get EJ22-T engines at all. Never heard of them until i heard
about yours!
We only get the EJ20-T or the EJ20, EJ22 & EJ25

You will notice however, that rigoli's and most of the other really
worked ones have a 2.2l stroker kit on them!

I am using a RS twin turbo gearbox which is much stronger, has twin
baulk rings to stop synchro crunching and the gears are much wider
mainly second gear which I blew out of my previous box. You can see a
picture of it in the photo section. I re-built the gearbox myself and
put rally strength bearing etc into the box, plus I had the shafts
and gears shot peened.

I will see if I can find my dyno chart and 1/4 mile slips.

Because the EJ20 is quad cam and breath MUCH better, you will notice
that they all have the EJ22 stroker kits in them.
