No start after ECU reset
Posted: Mon Dec 24, 2001 4:15 pm
I just replaced my filter with a K&N, and I cleaned the battery and
cables at the same time. I left the battery disconnected for 60
minutes to reset the ECU, then I tried to start the car and 'not
touch the throttle until the car warms up', just like the
instructions say. Now the car won't start at all. It turns over fine
with the starter and then it sputters out and dies. Pushing on the
gas makes no difference. Before doing this there was no problem, I
just wanted to use the K&N filter. I need to go get some lunch... I'm
starving... and my car won't start... help! How can I tell if the MAF
is freakin out?
