I won’t be able to get my water pump replaced until Saturday. That’s about 100 highway miles untill then… so what should I do… are there any tips on how to make it last a little longer if its on its last leg?
Don’t let the car warm up before leaving… or should I let it warm up longer?
If I’m driving and it fails… what happens? This has never happened to me..
Also since its being replaced what else should be replaced? Timing belt?

Personally, I would not drive it. If the water pump goes completely and you overheat, you're possibly going to have a warped head....need new gaskets, possibly resurface head....and all that fun stuff.....so personally I wouldn't risk it.
you can take heat out of the cooling system by turnin on the heater....but if you have no circulation....it's not goin to do any good.
Have you tried gettin a loaner, or rental for a couple days....in the long run it'd be cheaper then gettin the engine redone....

Second what Josh said. Take it from a guy who did his head gaskets earlier in the spring-time, it's worth getting a ride from someone at work for a WEEK if necessary.
