Alright so I noticed a peculiar thing the other day...

None of my break lamps are working. Tail lamps are fine; just no
extra light when i'm stopping - which really isn't that safe. I've
done some troubleshooting already; the bulbs are fine, connections
are fine. It's not just one brake lamp, it's ALL OF THEM. That makes
me think that it's a fuse that's blown. So i go looking for the brake
lamp fuse, and that where i come into some trouble.

Which of the damn fuses is the brake lamp fuse? maybe i'm blind and
i'm just not seeing it. Is it in the fuse box under the dash or the
box in the engine bay? grrrrrr!

This happened to me to. My fan for my heat was also not working. I was
a loose connection which was under the panel under the dash, farthest to
the left, closest to the door. Sorry best way I can describe it

I had a friend with this same problem in a 93 Camary.
Turned out it was a lamp relay in the trunk somewhere
shorted and burned up. Don't know if thats of any help
but maybe we have one too.

I know this might sound obvious but check the brake light switch. It
is located at the top of your brake pedal, near the pivot point. It looks
like a small cylinder with an adustable nut, a black plastic button that is
in contact with the pedal, and two wires running out of the top. Basically
all this switch does is creates a break in the electrical continuity to the
brake lights when the brake pedal is not depressed. Once you press on the
pedal the switch creates a completed circuit and thus sends power to the
brake lights. Either the switch is bad or just needs to be adjusted, fiddle
with it untill you get it right. Hope this helps, sometimes it's the
littlest things that are the problem. john

This happened to me after my accident. It's in the box under the
dash.

That reminds me, I never told you guys about the accident my scoobie
and I were in, did I? Well, the rear brakes locked, and... actually,
I've got a picture I drew (I'm not an artist, sorry) of the whole
accident and how it happened. I'll try and scan that and upload it
with an explanation.

The scoobie came back from the repair shop just fine, by the way.
