By the way... This is my first subaru, and i am very excited about owning it. I am going to ad a lift kit 4" and 3" in the rear. Anyone lifted there legacy? Its 4wd i need to change the tranny to a manual. I got it for 150$! And the exterior is in great shape. Only one body dent and in need of a rear bumper.

That's clean, what year is it?
I am trying to find an old Subie like that, but my current financial situation and the fact that nobody really owns too many Subies here in FL doesn't help...

That is in really good shape. I would guess that is a 1983 model. I gave my brother in law my 79 Subaru again. He drove it from Denver to Casper, WY a few weeks ago and it maintained 70-80 mph the whole way. Pretty good for a car almost 25 years old and over 300K miles. Those old Subies are beasts. Yours is one of the best looking I've seen and I live in Colorado, home of old Subarus.

HA HA! Thanks for all the compliments. Not bad for 150$ huu. It is a 1983 model. It only has 144,118 miles There is no rust, but two dents. Both easy fixs, it does need a new tranny. Thats why it was 150$ It runs great and the turbo kicks in at 4000rpm.

Looks sweet, Matt!
Kind of off-topic, but I think in Europe, before they introduced the BC/BF Legacy, they sold the vehicle we know in the US as the Loyale, but badged it "Legacy."

That thing is MINT!! Nice buy for $150!! I need to find something like that for ice racing this winter!

Well, its not MINT. It has a dent in the drivers door that looks like an easy fix, it was worse. I pounded it out alot. Now it is minor. The rear bumper needs to be replaced, it is now gone. Where it was hit in the rear, u wouldn't be able to see the damage if there was a new bumper in its place. I have now fixed all the little dinky rust spots here and there... (Mostly on the trunk alone) with POR-15. I actually got the guts to drive the automatic to near death today, its dead anyway. IF i get the car past 1st gear, there is no more horrible clunking sound. And its really quick! GOD when that turbo hits. WEEE!!!

I would LOVE to find an RX hatchback in shape like that. older subies rock. my wife had a loyale wagon back in the day. we took her to florida and back from MA when it had 200,000 miles on it. she took it like a trooper. and those engines spun awful high at 75-80 MPH since they were 3 speed autos. IIRC, we were doing like 5500 the whole way to florida and back.

And that would be the reason why i am doing a 5sp swap.

I need the speed!

A friend of mine has a turbo 84 coupe, nice wagon. You can't see to well but the mirrors say "turbo" in yellow on the front. I love those turbo mirrors
