Seat Swapping

I have a pair of heated leather front seats from a Legacy Outback and they are a direct bolt-in on my 92 Turbo Sedan. The only part that sucks is that they have "OUTBACK" embossed into the leather high on the backs.

I also got the leather back seat from a 95 Legacy LSI (or whatever they call the luxury model) and even though 95 is a different body style than 92, it is an absolute direct bolt-in, including the arch piece that includes headrests and side bolsters.

Do the back seats look like they fit? Like they where ment to be there? Or
are there gaps?

My brother used to be a Subaru Salesman in Asia, he told me that the
chassis of 90--99 Legacy are the same thing. I am not surprised if
the interior pieces will fit. Time for a new upgrade for me, I don't
like the rough texture of the std. Turbo seats.

Show us some pics of your seat conversion, many of us would like to
see it.

Thanks.

So did you re-connect the heaters somehow? That would be very nice - heated seats...

Best,

i can't image that'd be too hard, simple power to and from the seats on a
switch with a fuse, call it a day... Hrmmm....

I haven't actually put the seats in, si I haven't looked at how to supply the juice to heat them.. I just own them and compared their bolt patterns to the interior from my wrecked 93 Turbo sedan. Please note that station wagon rear seats are radically different from sedan rear seats.

Do the actual seat heaters work? I work at a Subaru
dealership in Denver and have been waiting for the
opportunity to trade the seats out of my 92 Legacy
with something else. The 2002 WRX and 2.5 RS setas
are super sporty and appear to me to have the exact
same mounting points. Anybody out there tried this at
all? Seems like a good inexpensive upgrade.

Yes, the 2.5RS seats bolt in.
