The sky's the limit with suspension for autoX, particularly since you've already modded yourself into the highest classes. IMO, I would race for a season to find out how obsessed you are and what classes to run BEFORE you decide whether to spend half a grand or a few grand. The more important thing ...

So that's still on the stock heads?

Of course, in both cases, that's the "default" split. The instant wheels start slipping, both types of diff redistribute the power in a better way.

Your hookup is not really the best approach for other reasons, but I dunno why it would cause stalling.

It's best to plumb an MBC straight off the turbo compressor.

Sucks! I don't even know how long it would take to fix all the image links I created. I'm a fan of making a flickr group. flickr is really nice, although sometimes it takes a minute to figure out how to use. Anyway, I've already got a bunch of pics of board members up on flickr already! http://farm1...

Maybe you're already thinknig about this, but the sensors (MAF, TPS) are matched to the ECU. Generally, if you're changing sensors, you'll have to do something with Engine management / ECU as well so that it interprets the new signals properly.

I found basically zero room for improvement between stock boost level and hitting fuel cut. My ECUs crap stock pressure sensor would read this noisy spiky signal that jumped all over. If I ran at a nice stable 11, the ECU number spiked around from 9 to 13, stepping over the limit often enough to tri...

BAC5.2 and I are drifting a bit too, although we still get on from time to time. Emailed Vikash and haven't heard back. Hobbies don't last forever, people grow and get excited about new things. All those people probably still have good things to say about their BC's... maybe even love 'em... but tha...

Cool Phil! Dude, I love cars outside the USA. I love the Skylines, and I love the turbo GC Imprezas. I love how everything is smaller and lighter than the average US car. Then there's the stuff that you've never even heard of. Here's random shots I've taken around Europe: http://www.flickr.com/photo...

My AGX's lost a lot of paint and got rusty, but they still got the job done (4 years of rallycross without blowing). It doesn't help that clumsy people like me tend to get brake fluid all over the paint when changing the struts out.

It is unfortunate, however what I described is a normal characteristic of a turbo car with a MBC. With the stock boost controller or an EBC, it will continuously adjust the duty cycle of the solenoid to keep boost levels where they should be. Hmmm... I'm not sure what you're talking about. What you...

Oops. Sorry about the poor reading skills. I don't know much about what will give you a lift. I've always run at stock height or maybe a tiny bit lower and never had any trouble at rallycross. Your courses may be rougher - I have the impression that you westerners are hardcore like that - in which c...

Stage rally or rallycross classes? I think the answer is no either way. Beaverun did some really basic training, but I don't think they are doing any rally stuff at the moment. You could call and check, but I doubt it. In the northeast, everyone talks about Tim O'Neil's place in New Hampshire (IIRC)...

I wouldn't waste a lot of money on expensive upgrades since it won't make a huge difference in rallyX. But, it is very very worthwhile to replace old shocks with new shocks. You could just get new shocks from the dealer, but aftermarket shocks from KYB shocks are hardly any more expensive, so lots o...

idea to fight spammers

Have you noticed that most of the spam posts go under "stuff you need to know"? I wonder if that's just because it's the first forum on the list. So, if Dave created a new forum above that called "Stuff you DON'T need to know" or something like that, then maybe all the spam posts...

If you just loop thge compressor nipple to the wastegate what kind of boost would you get? Less than stock? Yes, less than stock. You'd get "wastegate" boost. On the turbo that comes with a Sport Sedan, that's 6psi IIRC. Try it one time for fun. It feels so friggen slow. Then when plug in...

Actually that's the one I have. You won't use the light spring. They say the light spring is for going "5psi over STOCK" but they mean "5psi over WASTGATE" which would not be much of an upgrade.
