Re: Self Destructing 4EAT
Ya I remember back in the day came in with torque bind came out with slipping 2nd and delayed awd. Went back awd would "bang" all gears work, 4th wouldnt lock up. It is really crazy. I have learned the best thing is keeping the transmission as original as possible and if a rebuild i necess...

Re: what type of oil do u use
I used to always run either castrol 0w-30 or rotella 5w-40. Now I would run probably only motul 5w-30 or 40.

Re: Cocktail mix foamy?
Ya that cocktail mix is crap I ran the same in my car and it was whiny as well!! I assumed it was prob just the transmission bearings, but probably would have been much quieter if I tried just straight gear oil.

Re: Welded tranny crossmember?
From my standpoint poly bushings still absorb some noise also if you weld it I doubt the bolts will line up PERFECTLY. Whenever I bolt up the crossmember i need to flex each end slightly to get it to light up with the chassis bolts.

As much as were hoping its that spring I still question the wiring to be honest.
These knock sensors are a pain in the ass with these cars because the wiring is getting fragile.

I really don't see how they can work! Think about it even if the aluminum manifold is hot it doesn't necessarily mean it will affect the air itself going through it at a high cfm rate.

It is very common for those 2.5's to have a blown headgasket so it does not surprise me. If you are scared of replacing the headgasket you will definitely not want to have anything to do with this one.

They are the same length whats different is how they are mounted. Do your struts look like it has a open space the brake line runs through or a bolt with a mount?
If the coils are for a gc than get the same lines used for your legacy if its 02+ get the sti lines.

Remove the rubber door seal around the area and you will see some gold philip head screws remove them first thank you can carefully remove it and try not to break the clips. You can buy the clips ahead of time but if you break the clip that is part of the trim just silicone the trim when you put it ...
