Ok, anyone know where can I find banjo bolts to fit the block, and where can I find custom or "universal" oil feed line for the turbo? I have the stock line from the VF11, but I don't believe it is long enough to hit that spot on the block if I use that hole as my oil feed...

man, these manual belts are a necessity in any project... the automatic ones SUCK. (and they can be dangerous for some people who forget and try to stick their heads out the door IMMEDIATELY after opening, like my g/f did once... unknowing or stupid people could be INJURED)

I had a bad cap once, and it did something like that (on a different car) I also had a blown head gasket on a car that was pressurizing the coolant system... you should be able to hear it if that were the case, because the engine gurgles a little bit after you shut it off, or the cap would hiss due ...

Oil return has to be as low as possible, as I have seen in most (aftermarket) turbo cars it is in the side of the oil pan, as mentioned above... the line has to be absolutely MINIMAL resistance, because the turbo can't handle pressure on the oil seals inside... or something like that... my guess is,...

ahh, kind of like all those parts made of "unobtainium" the metal that is so rare parts made from it cost more than I paid for both of my legacies combined.

I would get the Turbo heads. They seem to be common enough and most seem to sell for a good price. To me, paying a bit for heads is worth not having to do machine work that isn't neccisary. yeah, I guess I see that, but are you saying it IS possible to machine the E heads to accept the plumbing for...

project (EJ22E- T swap/conversion) questions

hey, I am in progress on my project car. I have twin 90 legacy LS sedans, (one auto, one 5mt) and I am currently working on picking up all the parts for the engine build/swap. I currently have the turbo, a block, and a lot of other little parts that don't matter much at the moment. would it be a goo...

well, another way to do it, strangely... I have a spray bottle of simple green (that I use for EVERYTHING) and it took most of the yellow off, and then I grabbed a pack of 1500 grit paper (from Walmart for 2.50) and some duplicolor clear coat (also Walmart for like 3.50) and I didn't have a spray bo...

I was curious about that, and when I tested my car (the 1990 4eat) jacking up the whole car (with the engine off and the trans in neutral, no key in the ignition, no fuse in the "fwd" socket) rolling the rear wheels didn't affect the front, and rolling the front didn't affect the rear, unt...

that is useful. and I figured that was the case with the manual trans, which Ive never had to tow. is the 4eat a different setup, with the extra electronics? my 4eat is the one that has been towed (in the "improper way") and still works well...

turboleg: due to a comical "attempt" to destroy a geo metro, I know that moving down the road does not cool components where there is metal to metal rub, a car with rusty brakes and a bad wheel bearing started fire (burning the tire right off the rim) while being driven at 55 mph, and it d...

ok, how quickly, and what is the damage or failure exactly? after 3 (15, 50 and 45 mile) tows on a car caddy (front in the air, trans in neutral, rear on the ground) the car still is as close to 100% as it was when I bought it. no noise (from the trans), still fairly close to 50/50 power distributio...
