Re: CODE 33 AND 52
awesome... okay well the car is 5spd. Trans blew up in it so i put a wrx trans in the car with a little modification. I guess now i need to look up how to get the speedo to work because i believe it is different and possibly broken from what i recall.

CODE 33 AND 52
Will these codes cause my car to go into limp mode? These are the only cel's that show up. Granted the car has issues driving still. I was just wondering if the ecu would go into limp mode just because of these codes, because if it will then i will have to fix these first. I personally can live with...

Re: boost control solenoid clicking/ car backfires
Yes, disconnect the green connectors under the dash. Regarding the fuel pump wires, the connector under the seat can go bad. Your easiest and best solution is to pull just the power and ground (largest of the wires) wires from the plastic connector (as those are the ones that are creating the added...

boost control solenoid clicking/ car backfires
So i think i have a combination of things going on. I have checked for CEL and nothing. I just replaced the O2 sensor (CEL was on for it). The car is pretty sluggish and once it starts making boost it will backfire every now and again. Also a weird thing I am fixing the brake lines (rusted out) and ...

Re: Greasing the throwout bearing the hard way.
yea i wouldn't go dumping grease down there, if some of it ends up on the clutch you might ruin it. If its really that bad you might just have to back your trans off a bit

Re: Starter stud options for the 6spd
ok guys i got mine done but it was the wrx 5spd don't know how or if 6spd is different, but i did a helicoil with 10m bolt so i could retain 14mm socket and i didn't have to drill the hole, the tap went right in.

Re: Starter stud options for the 6spd
yea, I don't know maybe I'm over thinking it. I didn't remember it being this hard to find heli coil stuff. I just hope that the hole isn't already too big for the heli coil.Legacy777 wrote:Hopefully you don't go through starters, but I can understand you not wanting to have to modify future starters.
