Re: How to swap an AT for an AT
I cant get these seals out for the life of me. I used a harbor and freight seal puller and now ive damaged the axle output shaft housing. I'm hoping i can just switch the caps on the old transmission but im getting much deeper than I want to. Here is the damage. http://www.preemptiveretaliation.com/...

Re: pressure building and holding in front differential
I know this is an old thread but id like to update future readers. 50,000 miles and 3ish years later the transmission still runs great. never slips. but!!! and this is a big but, it sounds like it has a turbo spooling up in it. happens during all speeds acceleration and deceleration. it is the worst...

Working on drive train, disconect the sub frain!
93 legacy wagon automatic So as the poorly rhymed topic suggests, If you have an overhead lift, would it be easier to unbolt the sub frame and steering linkage and picked up the body to expose the engine/ tranny than it is dropping the tranny and lifting the engine out? There is a shop you can rent ...

Re: How to swap an AT for an AT
If all you're doing is dropping the old trans and putting a new one in, the only thing I'd suggest replacing is the rear seal on the trans output shaft. I think I will replace the Font seal if I don't have to tear into the transmission ( its the one i can see in the front right?) and the rear You w...

How to swap an AT for an AT
So im less exciting than most on here, and i want to just swap my transmission from a screaming AT ( some bearing somewhere sounds like its only got a few miles left in the tranny) to a reliable AT, and the only way to get there with some affordability is a used swap. Anyone have a sticky or a rough...

Re: pressure building and holding in front differential
so if m going to "learn to live with it" my best bet is to just always add tranny fluid to my trannmision since it selfbleeds
