Anybody got a full SS black interior? Minus seats.

Interesting. I found it to be quite different. Not something I wanted to hassle with. I hate fitment issues with interior. The way that it mounted to the door sills was different, the length was different, the molding was wrong. I'll just wait until I find a complete 1st gen black interior, probably gonna have to be canadian and it may never happen but I'd rather have a carpet that fits properly than a black one.

I figured the dye wouldn't work well or last or turn out a nice real looking black. The carpet is back in anyways. Cleaner than its ever been and my car is quiet again.

My GF came to work while I was working and got my keys from my coat and had one of our friends take my legacy to the glass shop and put a new windshield in! No more cracks! There was one right across my line of sight and it was annoying as hell. Awesome christmas present and she even pulled it off without me noticing my car was gone.

I was pretty stoked. They even replaced the strip that the goes across the top of the windshield that got torn off by the tree. It's not the same part unfortunately, it's just a rubber strip so it doesn't fit perfectly but it's pretty close and looks fine.

That was indeed a nice gift to you! (I need to have my windshield replaced but don't have the funds for it right now.)

But, if it doesn't fit properly, the company that did it really should make it right. That's part of the windshield replacement process. They can remove it without removing the windshield and install the correct molding. It's only a few dollars their cost for the molding.

One thing I miss about living in AZ is that for $9 a year, my insurance would give full windshield coverage. I've replaced several windshields at no out-of-pocket cost to me. A couple of companies even had a promotion to give me $100 cash to have the windshield replaced by them. They used name brand windshields and did a good job. And no increase in insurance rates, either. Because of the dirt and rocks flying around in AZ, the insurance companies actually expect windshield replacements on cars.

The ONLY thing I like about nationwide is for $10 or $20 a year I get free 100 mile towing and gas emergency even if I'm not in my car. Already used it earlier this year and saved a ton of money. Didn't cost a dime unless you account for the endless hard raping I endure month after month after year after year.

Just a heads up to you guys, if you put Comprehensive insurance with a high deductible on your car, most company's include free glass coverage with comp and the high deductible makes for a no difference in premiums. Insure, wait a few months, free windshield. Done.
