If you want a cleaner look bake the tail lights at 150-200 degrees in the over for a few minutes and remove the lenses and pull out the orange turn signal lenses. Bake again and reinstall lenses. Keep a close eye though. I warped a set bad my first try. Second set came out great.

Thanks, I will do that! I was wondering if the amber lenses would come out easily.kimokalihi wrote:If you want a cleaner look bake the tail lights at 150-200 degrees in the over for a few minutes and remove the lenses and pull out the orange turn signal lenses. What wheels are those? I'm too chicken to try some exotic wheels but I've seen quite a few on subarus lately that look fantastic.

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
I found a motor! A local guy is selling an EJ22 longblock for dirt cheap. I am going to pick it up this week and more than likely rebuild it before I swap it into the car.
Next step is finding all the rebuild parts I will need.

Hey Joe, is it true that the postal wagons come with manual seatbelts from the factory? I notice you have them.

Unfortunately so. Many are malfunctioning at this stage, and mine never felt like they were going to stop me in case of an accident...

Does anyone here know what is required to turbo this motor? I.E. can I use some ej22t parts to make it happen?

It's a little more complicated than just throwing some ej22t parts in it. You can run different pistons which would lower the compression. The non-turbo cams has more valve overlap than the turbo cams which can cause poor or limit performance at higher boost. The exhaust is different, front sub frame, wiring for the boost related sensors, and the ECU.
If you really want to go turbo, I'd suggest doing some searching and reading of threads for those that have done turbo swaps. If you really want to do a turbo motor, I'd suggest just starting with a turbo motor, ej22t or ej20g.

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
Ahh, I see. I suppose I will just keep it N/A and have fun with the cosmetic side of things instead of going for a power build.
Another question, can anyone help me out by letting me know what I would need to completely rebuild the heads? I don't need part numbers or prices (although I will create a chart for others once I do that research,) more just a list of everything needed.

Baking them heats and softens the adhesive so you can separate the lens from the housing.

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
I finalllllllly got my replacement motor to my house last night and had a chance to look at it. I got a ton of parts included which is super rad! Now I just want to try and figure out what year this motor is from and any other info. I looked all over the block and took photos of anything I thought may help, so onto the photos:
