I have a 94 ss with an ej22t what is the engine worth the body is shot. I have been talking to a guy that wants to buy it and pretty much sais body would cost to mich to fix and wants to buy it for parts. What is a fair deal?

How many miles are on the engine? I bought my ej22t with a little over 100k miles for around $700. I'm not sure what they're going for now.

I'm sure you'll get varying opinions, but a couple hundred bucks. It really depends on how much you think it's worth to you. If you're looking for a solid motor for a rebuild mileage not be an issue. However, if you're looking to swap in as is then that may play more into the factor of how much you want to offer in the event you need to do some work on the motor.
