Portland Dyno Run anyone? Can I pull that fuse to do it FWD?

Post by douglas vincent »

Torquefreaks is having a $25 3 pull dynotune special on the weekend of Sept 17-18. But they only have fwd/rwd dyno. Can I pull "that" fuse and run the dyno on fwd only safely?

And where is that fuse located anyway.

Who else would be interested?

Thanks

You can't, but you'd have to put a fuse in anyway.

Just to clarify,

Why can't it be done?

A- it wont work period?
B- it would work but not safely?

All I know at this point is that I read somewhere on this board (I think) that you could pull a fuse and have FWD only. Please correct what incorrect knowledge I have.

Thanks

A, it wont work period. Reason being, your center differential is mechanically operated, unlike a 4eat where it is electronically controlled by the TCU, or to be more specific Duty Solenoid C. Normally it is fuseless, however, when you insert a fuse in (i believe it's 10A or 15A) it will make Duty Solenoid C run at 100% duty. Applying no power to the rear wheels.
