So I tore into a EJ22t that I bought for parts. The seller said it had been overheated. Had no idea what to expect.
I get the left side front wrist pin accses plug out and the iron sleeve has rotated so that it is mostly blocking the hole.
I have pics I will post later.
Has anyone ever seen or heard of this before?
Also part of the block deck on #3 had melted away.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
I had the return hose from my IAC break off the coolant return to the radiator and spew coolant out of my engine (took it awhile to run low, took me awhile to notice it)
the block got hot (I drove it till it approached Hot, then stopped) but I can't imagine what kind of heat that thing suffered.
I overheated my block a couple times due to a shitty connection in the radiator fans before i figured out what was wrong. Then my radiator blew the end tanks off.
I haven't had any problems with it though, and that was about 5 months ago. knock on wood...
