You can probably pick up some carpet remnants and do a half decent job of replacing the carpet yourself for real cheap. Might be funny to get a cheap oriental rug from somewhere and use that to cut up. You'll have to pull the seats, center console trim, and sill covers, which is easy, making a template from scratch might be a little more of a PITA, but might not be horrible. Maybe you could get a nasty carpet cheap from a junk yard to use.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

I retired my '90 BJ, auto, with 297k miles on it... and it still ran like a champ (got the turbo legacy to replace it). I actually sold it to a guy who was in a bind, and I still see it on the road. So my input is that its a great everyday car. I believe it ran a 17.5sec quarter mile the day i brought it over to the track, lol. (you posted in the motorsports page, thought I'd throw that info out there)
