Subaru stereo install kit

Post by MacNews »

I put a new Pioneer deck in my car this week, but can't find any Subaru-compatible install kits for it. Here is a pic of the deck:

I've found some install kits online, do you guys know which one will work?

i put one in too, but did not put the plastic trim piece back on the head unit. you can actually drill or extend the holes in the metal bracket to change the position of the unit. as far as the gap i have a tray from a unknown subaru in there but it does not fill the gap. i'm thinking i should custom make a plate for that gap.

What you need is the 1.5 DIN pocket.

I have one of the 1.5 DIN trays, came in my wife's blue wagon with the am/fm only radio. I've been hanging onto it in case I ever put an aftermarket head unit in... not for sale, just saying they are out there. Look on the L's, basic low end models.

The metal plates on the sides are factory. To the best of my knowledge they are the same on all '90-'94 Legacys, regardless of factory installed radio.
